The members of this native group are immigrants from the Napo and Putumayo Rivers in Northwest Amazonia. It’s estimated that there are 3000 Yagua natives living in the Amazon today. Their traditional dress is made of aguaje palm fiber. They also paint their skin red with “achiote” and maintain their language to this day.
